Our Post-Hockey Retreat

As you may know, we have recently finished our cabin up at Emma Lake. The growing pains were real, from the whole "ready to move" process (seeing your investment traveling down the highway on a trailer is stressful!), to the weather that created delays, to the delays that created delays. What we thought would be a 4-week service hook-up process turned into six months.
As much as it pained us to wait for the cabin we had spent so long dreaming about, we knew it would be worth it. We were even more excited when we learned that The Brick wanted to partner with us to fully furnish our cabin bedrooms to create a place that would be the perfect retreat from our jam-packed, busy lives.
The Bunkroom
Possibly our favourite feature in the whole place has to be the bunkroom. We knew we wanted a space where we could sleep as many kids as possible, and this really fits the bill. The Brickly mattresses were the first thing to go in, followed by some amazing bedding that would keep our hot sleepers cool at night.

These Brickly mattresses are great for the bunkroom. They are the perfect firmness and the low profile design makes them an excellent choice for maximizing space.

These are the Masterguard cool touch mattress protectors and pillows. Can confirm: very comfy and cool!

After a weekend of sleeping 6 kids in this room, its looking lived in. But we love that it is a cool hangout for the kids, and are so glad that they love to spend time in there playing, reading, or watching a movie!

The Guest Room
This room is the perfect place for our guests. It's got an amazing Beautyrest Black Signature Elegance Euro Pillowtop Queen Mattress, cozy Bedgear hyper-linen bedding, and the most scandi "mountain chalet" feeling you can get on the prairies.

The Primary Bedroom
We got this room so right. Putting a mini coffee bar right in the room certainly doesn't hurt, but we just love the space and the spa like feeling of this room. Everything about it just says "I'm snowed in and I don't care".
The bedframe was a last minute decision and we are so happy with it. Trust me when I say the online pictures don't do it justice and we are glad we took a gamble on it.

The way that the camel cushions work with the green sheets is something else. Here are a few more snaps of the rest of the room:
